Jennifer Yong Joins Shangri-La’s Rasa Sentosa Resort as DOSM

Shangri-La’s Rasa Sentosa Resort in Singapore has appointed Jennifer Yong as director of sales and marketing. She joins the resort from Shangri-La Hotel, Guilin, in China.

Previously, Ms Yong was the director of sales and marketing at Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts’ Regional Sales Office in Beijing. Before that, she was assistant director of sales at Traders Hotel, Singapore.

Ms Yong is no stranger to Shangri-La’s Rasa Sentosa Resort, Singapore, as she was a member of the resort’s opening team in 1993, and spent seven years at the resort in the Front Office and Sales and Marketing Department.

A native Singaporean, the 44-year-old is an alumnus of the National University of Singapore and Catholic Junior College.

“I am excited to be back in Shangri-La’s Rasa Sentosa Resort, Singapore, as I have been away from Singapore for the past 10 years. The resort always has a special place in my heart, as I have witnessed its ‘birth’ and now see it in a different light after its ‘rebirth’. I hope to continue the good work of my predecessor, and lead the resort to greater heights and recognition,” said Ms Yong on her return to the resort.

Ms Yong replaces Mr. Ogie Manuel, who, after 10 years at the resort, will be taking on regional responsibilities as regional director of sales and marketing for Shangri-La’s resorts.
