Amadeus Asia Pacific Appoints New Head of Airline Organisation

Amadeus has appointed international travel industry expert, Hazem Hussein, to head up its Asia Pacific Airline Group operations.

As part of the global airline IT executive leadership team, reporting to Julia Sattel, Senior Vice President Airline IT, Hazem will lead the group from Amadeus’ regional headquarters in Bangkok, and direct the company’s commercial airline strategy for both its Airline IT and Distribution businesses, with responsibility for the considerable market opportunity in Asia Pacific.

Julia Sattel, Senior Vice President, Airline IT, Amadeus, said, “Hazem brings nearly two decades of industry experience to this newly created role, including senior management roles at Amadeus since 2005 in both the airline and travel agency divisions. With experience spanning Europe, Middle East, Africa and North America, he brings a very seasoned and diverse understanding of the global travel and aviation industry to his new role in Asia Pacific.”

Prior to Amadeus, Hazem held roles at First Data Corporation, as Regional Vice President Western Europe and MEA, and at IBM WTC as Regional Director, Outsourcing division.
