1487-Room Swisstel Makkah to Open in July

The 1487-room Swisstel Makkah will be one one of the largest hotels in Saudi Arabia and the biggest entity of Swisstel Hotels & Resort when it opens on the first day of Ramadan in July 2012.

With the most convenient location in the Holy City of Makkah, we anticipate Swisstel Makkah to be the preferred destination not only for pilgrims and Umra performers but also for business travelers, who will be visiting the Holy City of Makkah, said Meinhard Huck, President Swisstel Hotels & Resorts.

Located a few steps from the Grand Mosque, Swisstel Makkah features rooms that start in size from 36 sqm rooms, 352 pre-set triple-bed rooms and also 22 disabled-friendly rooms. The hotel will also offer free internet access to all guests.

The soon to be opened hotel will feature a wide variety of culinary pleasures. Al Rowad restaurant, a casual all day dinning will feature delicacies from North Africa, Indonesia, Middle East and India while, Caf Swiss will present a combination of traditional and international specialties. Besides these, Ajwa restaurant will offer guests an international multi cuisine dining experience.

For business guests, a multi-functional business center will feature state of the art facilities, well equipped with the latest communication tools that will enable guests to seamlessly conduct their business engagements. The business center will also include a waiting area as well as dedicated stations for fast internet access along with two spacious meeting rooms (40sqm each) available for guests who wish to organize meetings with a higher degree of privacy.
