New Communications Appointments @ Jumeirah

Genevieve Picard has been appointed Director of Corporate Communications for the Jumeirah Group, while Katerina Dixon has been appointed Director of Communications for Jumeirah hotels and resorts in Dubai.

Genevieve Picard joined Jumeirah in 2007 as Corporate Communications Manager for Jumeirah Group before becoming the Director of Corporate Communications in 2010. Prior to joining Jumeirah, she worked for the Department of Foreign Affairs in Canada and for the University of Ottawa.

With over 20 years of experience in communications and public relations, Genevieve will manage Jumeirah Groups network of Public Relations agencies in the USA, Brazil, UK, Germany and China, as well as agencies appointed for tactical projects in other markets.

A Canadian national, Genevieve holds a BA degree in Communications from the University of Ottawa and is fluent in English, French and Spanish.

Genevieves previous role in leading PR for the Dubai properties will now be led by Katerina Dixon.

Katerina Dixon joins Jumeirah Group from InterContinental Hotels Group, where she held the role of Director of Marketing and Communications for six years. Prior to joining IHG, Katerina worked as Corporate Sales Manager for Jumeirah Emirates Towers Hotel in 2000.

In this new role, Katerina will be responsible for leading and managing all communications for Jumeirah Groups Dubai hotels as well as driving the development of new communications strategies while working closely with the groups global and corporate communications.

A Czech national, with over 12 years of managerial experience, Katerina also holds a Masters degree from the University of Economics in Prague.
