The boutique Balinese resort of Alila Ubud is opening four Terrace Tree Villas this month.

Set high above the Ayung river valley overlooking a stunning vista of alang alang plantations and rice paddies and perfectly positioned to capture the sunrise, the new villas combine a luxurious retreat with a back to nature experience.

Designed as the most exclusive accommodation in the resort, the four spacious 120 sqm Terrace Tree Villas feature an indoor and outdoor living experience with a huge alfresco wood-decked living area providing the perfect place to dine, unwind and stargaze to a backdrop of the sights and sounds of its forest location.

The open-plan interiors are inspired by the natural setting combining the warmth of wood and recycled teak with elegant furnishings to create a relaxing, magical hideaway.

Each villa features a generous King-bedded room, indoor bathroom with shower, bathtub and his & hers vanity, as well as a spacious lounge with day bed for whiling away lazy afternoons.

For cosy evenings, a flatscreen 40’ Apple TV offers a selection of documentaries of ‘old Bali’ as well as movies and music.

The Kerry Hill designed resort is located within the Balinese hill village of Payangan in the central foothills.

Opening for bookings from 15 October 2012, nightly rates for a Terrace Tree Villa start from US$ 450++ per night.
