Business as Usual @ Cairns Convention Centre

The Cairns Convention Centre and all Cairns business events infrastructure are fully operational following Cyclone Yasi on Wednesday, 2 February 2011.

Ross Steele, General Manager, Cairns Convention Centre said "While our hearts go out to communities south of Cairns, our staff, their homes and the Cairns Convention Centre have been unaffected and it is business as usual."

"We appreciate the many emails, text messages and telephone calls we have received from throughout the meetings industry and would like to thank our colleagues, clients and friends for their concern," Mr Steele added.

The award winning Cairns Convention Centre is only ten minutes from the Cairns International Airport. It is ideal for meetings and conventions of 10 to 3,500 delegates, and has a combined total of 22 meeting rooms.
