Peppers has expanded its New Zealand network with the launch of a country estate in the heart of Martinborough wine region.

Located just minutes from charming Martinborough Village and one hour’s drive from Wellington, Peppers Parehua Country Estate features a range of accommodation options with 30 exclusive suites and villas or garden and lakeside cottages.

Peppers Parehua Country Estate is the latest addition to Mantra Hotel Group’s collection of Peppers hotels, resorts and retreats. It joins Peppers on the Point Rotorua in the North Island and Peppers Beacon Queenstown, Peppers Clearwater Resort Christchurch and Peppers Bluewater Resort Lake Tekapo in the South Island, to offer a boutique getaway for wine lovers in picturesque Wairarapa.

To celebrate the launch of Peppers Parehua Country Estate, opening rates staying in a Winemakers Cottage start from NZ$300 per night including breakfast for two people. The promotion is valid until 31 March 2012 and is subject to availability. Terms and conditions apply.

Each cottage has its own sitting area with fireplace and private deck providing the perfect spot to unwind and relax. Vintage notes from the local wineries will assist you in making a choice of visits and facilities including full kitchen, king bed and large spa bath will ensure a memorable stay.

Peppers Regional General Manager – New Zealand, Ken Harris, says he is delighted to be launching such a high calibre property. “Set in the world-class Martinborough wine region, Peppers Parehua Country Estate perfectly embodies the ideals of Peppers which is known for superior accommodation and cuisine in stunning, unique locations.”

Ken is particularly enthusiastic about the estate’s Green Globe registration – the worldwide benchmarking and certification system for the travel and tourism industry.

“Steps towards achieving certification around sustainability had been initiated prior to the acquisition and we are determined to keep on track towards this aim,” said Ken. “The estate is set within a beautiful location where the environment is valued and considered paramount for our guests.”

Set within park-like gardens with picturesque views and a private willow-fringed lake, the country estate overlooks a panorama of countryside to the Tararua ranges. The property boasts secluded garden villas and cottages overlooking lush gardens or the striking lake, open fireplaces, with some featuring private outdoor cedar hot-tubs. This stunning setting make Peppers Parehua Country Estate is the perfect place for a romantic escape, wedding celebration or a corporate retreat.

A host of wineries, golfing, horse trekking, boating, quad biking, coastal walks, fishing and pampering are all within easy reach of the premium estate.
