Kuoni and Thomas Erber to Launch Travel Bag

This month, Kuoni and Thomas Erber will launch the 'Kuoni No.1 - A Travel Bag from van Astyn. By Thomas Erber & Peter Nitz'.

The bag will be produced in an edition of 20 and sold exclusively at colette in Paris and Kuoni Concierge in Zurich. It is the first piece from a collection of valuable objects that Kuoni and Thomas Erber plan to design for travellers.

Kuoni and Thomas Erber are launching an exclusive Kuoni collection, which shall encompass clothing, luggage and travel accessories.The products are to be developed in collaboration with different designers and introduced in regular intervals.

The first piece from the collection is the travel bag 'Kuoni No.1' made of premium Barenia calfskin. It was made by the Swiss label 'van Astyn' in association with Thomas Erber and Peter Nitz.

"Kuoni’s passion is to create travels that offer up an array of unique moments. To complete the aesthetic experience, such travels need the right accompaniments, such as special clothing and special accessories,” said Remo Masala, Chief Branding & Marketing Officer of the Kuoni Group. "They should not only reflect the personality of their owner but also the high value and quality of the travel experience. We created 'Kuoni No.1' for people who embrace a future-oriented culture of luxurious travel. Casual, relaxed and curious, free from outmoded conventions, but with the highest expectations when it comes to quality and design."

The travel bag 'Kuoni No.1” will be presented on 13 October 2011at Kuoni Concierge in Zurich. It will be available for EUR 1890 in the size 36 x 52 x 26cm starting mid-October 2011.
