AirAsia Mobile Launches Insure Travel Protection

AirAsia has launched its latest feature for mobile devices, a tool which allows guests to purchase AirAsia Insure Travel Protection Plan whenever they make bookings via AirAsia Mobile.

Customers of AirAsia Insure travel protection will be able to enjoy a range of benefits which shall include protection for - Personal Accident , Travel Inconvenience which includes flight delay and cancellation, lost or damaged baggage, 24-hours Worldwide l Travel Emergency Assistance. 

An interesting feature is the On Time Guarantee (OTG) Benefit, which offers cash compensation amounting to RM200 for delays of more than two hours from the scheduled departure time. This cash compensation is only for delays caused by AirAsia Group however, and does not cover delays which are due to circumstances beyond the airline’s control.

 “We understand our guests’ needs and the latest mobile lifestyle, thus we have stepped up our travel protection availability via AirAsia Mobile,” said AirAsia Regional Head of Financial Services & Loyalty, Johan Aris. “We have made it easy and smarter for our passengers to enjoy the premium travel protection plans which is now already embedded in the booking process via AirAsia Mobile. It is our objective to ensure our passengers are covered even when they are on the move.”

Tune Money is the appointed Insurance Manager in collaboration with AirAsia on AAInsure Travel Protection Plan.
