Rustico became an active member of the Advisory Committee on the Cruise Industry 2009-2012, playing a vital role in positioning the development of Hong Kong as a regional cruise hub. And, in securing the position of Vice Chairman in ACA, Asia’s largest cruise association, Rustico has remained dedicated to industry growth in the area.

Within his new role, Rustico will oversee the company’s development across the Mediterranean Region, Africa, Middle East, India and the Indian Ocean, and will also assume responsibility of Costa’s offices in Switzerland and Austria. He will continue to report directly to Costa Cruises' Executive Vice President Sales and Marketing.

Costa Cruises continues to view the Asia Pacific region as a key growth market and one which holds an abundance of opportunities. With a capacity increase of 40% through the deployment of its biggest ship yet, Costa Victoria, 2012 will see even more guests onboard Costa Cruises.

As such, Buhdy Bok, current Vice President of China, will be stepping in with an extended position to include all APAC operations, effective 1 January 2012, as Costa prepares for a fruitful and busy year ahead.
