Mark Lomanno to Leave STR

STR has confirmed that Mark Lomanno is leaving the company effective 31 October 2011, after more than 20 years of service.

Lomanno joined STR in 1990. His tenure included 12 years as president of the Hendersonville-based hotel-research firm.

Lomanno is also leaving his post as chairman of the board for STR Global, the London-based sister company of STR that provides global hotel data trends. Amanda Hite will assume the role of STR Global's chairman effective 31 October 2011.

"It was my pleasure and honor to run STR for so many years and help secure its position as a respected and trusted partner to brands and properties around the globe," Lomanno said. "Its excellent current management team will insure a continuation of that legacy for decades to come. While I will certainly miss working with the wonderful people at STR, I am looking forward to the variety of opportunities that lie ahead."
