When the Ibis Bengaluru Techpark is officially opened in mid-September, it will become the 100th ibis to open in the Asia Pacific region and fourth to open in India.

The first ibis launched in India in 2008 with the ibis Gurgaon followed by the ibis Pune which opened in 2009 and ibis Mumbai Airport in early 2011.

The 332-room Ibis Bengaluru Techpark hotel will feature guest rooms with en suite modular bathrooms. Each room features all contemporary fit-outs including a flat screen TV, Wi-Fi and broadband internet access.

Ibis Bengaluru will provide round-the-clock reception as well as food and beverage services at any time of the day and night.

Jean-Michel Casse – Senior Vice President Operations, Accor India said, “ibis Bengaluru Techpark will provide quality, international, economy accommodation to guests with the reassurance of one of the worlds largest and most respected economy hotel brands. The opening of ibis Bengaluru Techpark reinforces the expansion strategy for the ibis brand in India, where we have 16 ibis hotels committed to development.’’

On a regional basis, the ibis brand will debut in Vietnam and Laos by 2012 and will add 9 more ibis hotels to the Asia Pacific network before the end of this year. Forthcoming openings include the 550-room ibis Hong Kong Central West and the 600 room ibis Bandung Supermal both in 2012, and which will represent the two largest ibis in Asia Pacific respectively.
