RezView Internet Booking Engine an Ideal Option for Small to Medium-Sized Hotels

Pegasus Solutions has expanded the first suite of next generation hotel reservations solutions to include the powerful RezView Internet Booking Engine.

PhoCusWright predicts one in three global travelers will book online by 2012, with supplier websites representing two thirds of the market. However, continued channel diversification is forcing hotels to use limited resources to manage more channels, including voice, global distribution systems, online travel agencies, mobile and their own brand sites. Leveraging the RezView NG central reservation system, Pegasus has introduced RezView Internet Booking Engine to manage distribution across all channels.

“Direct bookings continue to be a vitally important source of business for hotels,” said Mark Peacock, chief information officer of Pegasus Solutions. “Until now, hospitality companies and independent hotels were forced to rely upon CRS, PMS or other third-party providers for their internet booking engines, which have typically only offered limited customization features, or to invest in completely customized applications. With RezView Internet Booking Engine, we deliver the power and functionality of a highly customized Internet booking engine that reinforces your brand and is fully integrated with your central reservation system.”

RezView Internet Booking Engine creates a unique look and feel for hotel websites with little to no design resources, meaning a hotel’s site will no longer look like a competitor’s who happens to use the same central reservation system. For larger hotel companies with multiple properties in the same city, it uses smart search technology to pinpoint a hotel using keyword searches, with a consumer- friendly filter to further define and narrow search results. It also integrates with social media to include sharing features in the booking process. RezView Internet Booking Engine even enables hoteliers to capture additional revenue by offering other property services and amenities via the eConcierge feature.

“The RezView NG enterprise delivery platform is unique because it applies revenue management principles to every stage of the booking,” added Peacock. “By leveraging this technology that has been proven with hotels and validated by the industry through the RezView Internet Booking Engine, we are able to offer a unique, powerful online shopping experience for hotels that may not have the resources to devote to this critical booking channel.”

The RezView Internet Booking Engine was built using the latest web technologies – HTML5 to provide an exceptional web experience across desktop and mobile devices without requiring add-ons such as Adobe Flash; CSS3 to provide complete control over the look and feel of the website with minimal development and deployment effort; and architected to run on cloud platforms like Amazon’s EC2 for instant scalability and high performance under any load.

Pegasus is also launching RezView Mobile as part of its suite of next generation hotel reservations solutions.
