Costa Cruises Reports Increase in Easter Bookings

The total number of travellers taking a cruise with Costa Cruises this Easter is up 10% over last year.

The lions share of the cruises will be in the Mediterranean, with 12 ships deployed and the convenience of various ports of embarkation.

This Easter, Costa Serena, Costa Concordia and Costa Magica will be offering 8-day Western Mediterranean cruises. Costa Serenas itinerary takes in Savona, Naples, Catania, Palma de Mallorca, Barcelona and Marseilles; Costa Concordia will be operating the route Savona, Civitavecchia, Palermo, Malta, Palma de Mallorca, Barcelona; whilst Costa Magica will be sailing from Savona to Civitavecchia, Palermo, Cagliari, Palma de Mallorca, Barcelona and Marseilles.

Two ships will be deployed in the Eastern Mediterranean, again on 8-day cruises: Costa Fortuna on a route to the Greek islands taking in Venice, Bari, Olympia, Santorini, Rhodes and Dubrovnik; and the Costa Atlantica bound for Greece and Turkey, calling at Venice, Bari, Olympia, Izmir, Istanbul and Dubrovnik.

For those with only have a few days holiday, Costa Cruises offers the chance to book short cruises, lasting from 5 to 7 days, again in the Mediterranean. Featuring on these routes are the two sister ships Costa Luminosa and Costa Deliziosa, the two most exclusive ships in the fleet: Costa Deliziosa will be departed on 21 April on a 5-day cruise calling at Savona, Barcelona, Ibiza and Ajaccio; while Costa Luminosa set sail on 19 April on a 7-day itinerary encompassing Savona, Ajaccio, Palma de Mallorca, Cagliari, Malta and Capri.

In addition to these two ships, the Costa Victoria departed on 20 April on a 6-day cruise with the following itinerary: Savona, Barcelona, Pala, Cagliari and Ajaccio.

Those lucky enough to enjoy a longer break can take advantage of an 12-day cruise to Greece and Turkey on Costa Pacifica, another 12- day holiday on Costa Mediterranea, this time to the Canary Islands, or 13-day on Costa Allegra on a cruise to the Black Sea.

Meanwhile, those who prefer more exotic destinations can opt for the 17-day cruise on the Costa Classica, leaving Singapore on 23 April and bound for some of the finest places in Vietnam, China and Taiwan.
