Great Hotels of the World, the London-based hotel sales and marketing alliance, has expanded its global portfolio of hotels with the following new members:

Set amidst the paradise island of Koh Samui, The Mantra Samui Resort and Spa is a perfect place for relaxation. Some of the rooms at the resort contain a private Jacuzzi on the terrace while others allow accommodation for large families with over 100sqm rooms.

The resort also features a spa, a specially designed swimming pool, fitness centre, restaurants and cafes, salt cave yoga studio, squash courts, a movie theatre and much more. Mantra Samui provides a frequent shuttle to their Designated Beach, where guests can enjoy complimentary kayaks and a Mantra private boat service.

Located in central Madrid, the chic Hotel Hesperia Madrid features a stunning modern interior combined with a classic style. The top floor contains extra special rooftop suites with terraced jacuzzis. The hotel is ideal for meetings with conference rooms and a business centre, though leisure travelers are also well catered for with a SkyGym rooftop health club which boasts views over Madrid.

The hotel boasts exquisite market cuisine and fine dining with two restaurants, including one boasting two Michelin stars. Both restaurants are managed by Santi Santamaria, one of Spain’s most famous chefs.

Situated in the very centre of Lisbon, a short walk from Avenida da Liverdade and the historical quarter is the Altis Hotel, Lisbon. The hotel is filled with the works of Portuguese artists, creating a unique atmosphere throughout. Rooms overlook the historic quarter and the Altis Hotel is equipped with a health club inclusive of a fitness room, sauna, Turkish bath and heated swimming pool. The hotel is also home to three restaurants, one of which, Grill D. Fernando, has a fine panoramic view over the city and the river. The hotel is also popular with business clientele thanks to its 18 meeting rooms with seating for up to 750 guests.

The Altis Prime meanwhile brings the concept of home business luxury apartments to life in the heart of Lisbon. With its 78 apartments, lounge bar, rooftop terrace with jacuzzi and solarium, not to mention its conference room and private parking, the hotel is a perfect place for a city break with a difference. Guests also have access to all of Hotel Altis’ restaurants and facilities.

Set on Calpe’s Levante Beach on the Costa Blanca, The AR Diamante Beach Spa Hotel and Convention Centre has 283 double rooms as well as the Levante and Ponjenta Suites. All rooms are equipped with en-suite bathroom, air conditioning, satellite TV, Wi-Fi and large balconies. The hotel contains 3 outdoor pools, a café and piano bars, buffet restaurant and two a la Carte restaurants, perfect for guests who are travelling for leisure. For business guests the hotel also offers a business centre and facilities on site.

But what sets this hotel apart is its spa area which is one of the best on the Costa Blanca. It is home to hydro-massage beds, cascades, Jacuzzis, Turkish and Roman Baths and more.

Set across 300 stunning acres of parkland and landscaped gardens, The Grove in Hertfordshire, England, is the former home of the Earl of Clarendon and has been recreated blending the classic with the contemporary. The hotel has 215 rooms and 12 suites complete with marble fireplaces, chandeliers, white-lacquered Sycamore furniture and suede and silk furnishings.

The Grove has three venues for dining with views of the grounds, an 18 hole championship golf course through their parklands, tennis courts, outdoor swimming pool and a beautiful spa and health and leisure club featuring a black mosaic indoor pool, exercise studio and treatment rooms. The hotel also offers excellent business facilities, with four meeting rooms, wired workstations and Wi-Fi.

The Palace Hotel affords a great location set amongst the seaside town of Noordwijk, the Netherlands. Easily accessible from the airport, it has 120 rooms including 5 impressive suites. The hotel has been designed with both business and leisure in mind. An art deco style is prevalent throughout with each floor featuring a colour palette inspired by European royal houses.

The hotel has great business facilities as well as a swimming pool, gym and spa featuring tempting treatments. With a range of dining options, guests can choose from a la carte French cuisine to a BBQ on the terrace in this hotel.

Located in the heart of Lisbon, the Altis Park Hotel offers guests views over the city and Tagus river. All 300 rooms are cosy and modern and the hotel is perfect for business or leisure, equipped with a Congress Centre, 9 meeting rooms and an Auditorium as well as access to the Olaias Club, 100 meters away, which has an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, 7 tennis courts, 2 squash courts and a gymnasium.

Set next door to the Altis Hotel, Altis Suites is a self-catering hotel in the central and financial district of Lisbon. The rooms feature a separate living room, marble bathroom and a fully equipped kitchenette. The hotel offers not only the comfort and independence of a suite apartment but also includes its own lobby, reception, garage and access to Hotel Altis’ services, such as their indoor swimming pool and restaurants.
