Hayman, a premier luxury nature-resort destination on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, will reopen on 1 August 2011.

The resort will feature new Beach Villas and Hayman Residences by famous architect Kerry Hill, acclaimed for his development of the magnificent Amanresorts, and newly landscaped grounds by Australia’s celebrity landscape designer, horticulturalist and personality, Jamie Durie.

The eight new Beach Villas offer panoramic views in 120 square metres of sheer luxury and special features including large private open-air pools, beachfront terraces, outdoor showers and stunning bathrooms with ‘island’ baths.

Hayman is offering a selection of exclusive properties for purchase. These Hayman Private Residences and Hayman Marina Residences represent the first private ownership opportunity on Hayman. Each residence is being tailored to the owner’s requirements taking in the stunning sea and landscape surrounds. Owners and their guests will have full access to the resort facilities and services.

Hayman is one of the world’s greatest resort paradises for the active outdoor lifestyle. As well as Great Barrier Reef cruises, snorkelling and PADI diving, recreation options include catamaran sailing, paddle skiing, windsurfing, sea kayaking, waterskiing, fishing, yacht charters and helicopter and seaplane adventures.

Within the resort is Spa Hayman for pampering and health treatments, a gym, tennis and squash courts, a golf putting green and driving range, and tracks for fascinating island walks.

Hayman also features world-class dining in four acclaimed restaurants and in an array of outdoor settings presented by multi-award winning chefs. The restaurants offer Australian, Oriental and Italian cuisine in stunning themed settings. Guests can also dine in special outdoor island settings in beach, garden and lagoon surrounds or in reef locations.

The unique resort ambience and inspiring tropical surrounds provide the perfect backdrop for conferences, small or large meetings, incentives, special events and individual reward programs for up to 450 delegates – and Hayman can also be privately booked for large events.

Guest accommodation ranges from rooms and suites to penthouses, a Beach House and the new Beach Villas.

Hayman is owned and operated by Mulpha Australia Limited and is a member of the prestigious organisation, The Leading Hotels of the World.
