Rail Europe Launches Last Minute Promotion

Rail Europe is now offering travellers discounted train passes in Germany, France, Belgium until the end of August 2011.

The German Rail Pass Special offers 20% off the regular price on tickets purchased by 31 August 2011, for unlimited travel over the following six months.

The 6-day 2nd Class pass is discounted to 178€ from 222€, for discovering Germany from the shores of the Baltic Sea down to the Black Forest and Bavarian Alps.

Travelers additionally benefit from a 25% discount at selected ‘Maritim’ hotels in Germany’s most popular cities including Berlin, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Stuttgart.

Thalys, the high speed train linking Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam and Cologne, is discounting last-minute bookings for first-class travel until 31 August.

The Thalys Summer Promo offers first class fares for as little as 55€ for a Paris-Brussels trip and 44€ for Brussels-Amsterdam.

First-class fares are also discounted for travel in France and selected neighbouring countries, on sale until 22 August for travel before 25 August 2011.

With a light meal included, prices start as low as 20€ for Paris-Lille, 35€ for Paris-Avignon, 35€ for Paris-Luxembourg, and 39€ for Geneva-Marseille. Fares between Paris, Strasbourg, Frankfurt and Stuttgart are discounted to just 49€.

Rail Europe’s Asian flagship store is in Hong Kong and serves mainland China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines and Vietnam.
