Louvre Hotels Group Implements Integrated Central Reservation and Channel Management System

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Videos Tuesday, 19 July 2011

Louvre Hotels Group, one of the largest hospitality groups in the world, has implemented ExtraConnect, an integrated central reservation and channel management system from Pegasus Solutions and RateTiger by eRevMax International.

ExtraConnect allows Golden Tulip properties to manage rates and availability within the reservations process for its online distribution and marketing partners without the need for manually handling various extranets. The collaborative solution from Pegasus and RateTiger helps improve hotel rankings on partner sites with faster rate updates and more accurate inventory, while also improving guest service by avoiding the risks of non-seamless reservation processing.

ExtraConnect enables consolidation of all channel management reporting onto one dashboard for optimal business analysis, as well as offering rapid-deployment connectivity for new chain agreements. Golden Tulip now also has the ability to send both base rates and derived rates to the various channels chosen per hotel, thus maximizing revenue management. It will also use the solution to automate and consolidate commission processing for extranet channels, while also delivering reservations from external sales parties into the system.

“We use technology to drive business for our hotels,” said Riko van Santen, vice president of distribution for Louvre Hotels Group. “After upgrading our Tulip Inn, Golden Tulip and Royal Tulip properties in 40 countries to RezView NG last year, we have now expanded our Goldres3 CRS functionality to offer built-in, scalable and secure extranet management for our varied and widespread international portfolio. This solution closes the gap many hotel chains have in terms of true electronic channel management due to the fragmented and diverse extranet landscape that exists particularly in the EMEA and ASPAC regions. The CRS is truly the CRS again.”

RezView NG from Pegasus Solutions allows Golden Tulip to centrally manage content and rates for all channels. Its flexible design allows hotel companies like Golden Tulip to operate and adapt their business in the manner in which they choose, not based upon the constraints of the system. This flexibility includes support for a wide variety of revenue management strategies, the ability to sell and manage non-room inventory, high-level customization, real-time reporting, close integration with property management systems and revenue management systems, as well as automated distribution content management.

“Our product development is driven by our customers’ business needs,” said Mike Kistner, CEO of Pegasus Solutions. “Our chain CRS customers like Golden Tulip had a need for a channel management-enhanced next generation CRS, so we sought out RateTiger, the industry leader. Integrating the industry’s top solutions for reservations and channel management from the market leaders gives Golden Tulip, our first ExtraConnect customer, an unrivaled edge. This innovation is a hallmark of the Pegasus brand, which has been driving our industry’s technological change and development for years.”
