Free Travel Procurement Course to Take Place in Singapore, Philippines and Hong Kong

Amadeus is co-sponsoring a Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) course with Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT).

The two-day course has been specifically designed to meet the needs of travel managers in Asia Pacific and will focus on travel procurement and alignment with a global travel programme.

The course will be facilitated by global travel guru, Scott Gillespie, author of Gillespie’s Guide to Travel+Procurement with support from CWT VP of Global Sales Asia Pacific, Mike Bezer.

“We have worked with GBTA on educational courses previously, however this is the first advanced course for us that has been designed to take learning to the next level and equip travel management professionals with the latest trends, tools and knowledge to help them perform their job at a higher level of efficacy and add value to their organisations,” said Bruno des Fontaines, Director Business Solutions Group at Amadeus Asia Pacific.

GBTA Executive Director and COO Michael W. McCormick, added, “It is critical to design educational offerings to meet the needs of the audience and this course does exactly that as we continue to expand our educational reach across the globe and here in Asia. We are thrilled to see industry leaders like Amadeus and Carlson Wagonlit Travel support these important initiatives for the growth the industry.”

The advanced course usually costs US$350, however thanks to sponsors Amadeus and CWT, it is being offered for free. Travel managers in Hong Kong, Singapore and Philippines looking to expand their existing knowledge can register by email.

The advanced travel procurement course will be offered in three cities in May:

- Singapore: 23-24 May 2011
- Philippines: 26-27 May 2011
