Munich Airport Launches Mobile Website

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Videos Monday, 18 July 2011

Munich Airport's website is now available in a redesigned format optimized for mobile devices.

Users of smart phones, Blackberrys and other web-enabled devices can now access to up-to-the-minute arrival and departure information, shopping and dining at the airport, parking facilities and a wide range of services and other amenities.

To meet the increasing demand for mobile content and provide information to as many passengers, visitors and customers as possible – regardless of the mobile end devices they may have – a project team from various departments in FMG, the Munich Airport operating company, has completely revised and greatly expanded the existing mobile web content.

The mobile website complements the airport's main website and makes optimal use of the functionality of iPhones and Blackberrys.

Backed by a simple navigation structure, it provides users with concise information on all topics relevant to them while on the go.

Entering the web address www.munich-airport.de on a mobile device causes the user to be switched automatically to the mobile website, which can also be accessed directly via m.munich-airport.de.

The mobile website is available in German and English. An airport app with useful functions designed for iPhone and Android users is expected to be rolled out in the second half of the year.
