Roosevelt Hotel New York Upgrades to Pegasus’ RezView NG

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Videos Thursday, 15 September 2011

The Roosevelt Hotel in Manhattan, New York, has upgraded to Pegasus Solutions’ RezView NG.

The Roosevelt New York is also a member of Pegasus’ Utell Hotels & Resorts representation service. In the midst of a multi-million dollar makeover to upgrade the property’s 1015 rooms, The Roosevelt has also upgraded its central reservation system (CRS) to maximize revenue at the time of booking.

RezView NG allows hotels like The Roosevelt to apply revenue management rules to every component of the booking, not just the room. It will also allow the hotel to manage all room and non-room inventory, availability status, restrictions, pricing and policies per property preference.

“The Roosevelt New York operates in an extremely competitive market, which is why we’re always willing to make decisions that will attract more business to our hotel,” said Kevin Croke, director of sales and marketing for The Roosevelt. “Two years ago, that decision was to partner with Pegasus as a member of Utell Hotels & Resorts, and today it’s continuing with Pegasus by migrating to RezView NG.”

The Roosevelt has been one of the top performing Utell hotels, increasing revenue +81% and bookings +66% in 2010.

“The team at The Roosevelt is acutely aware of the things they can do to improve their fair share of New York luxury hotel demand,” said Mike Kistner, chief executive officer of Pegasus Solutions. “We came to the table two years ago to help address the need for driving global demand through Utell. The success of that relationship led to this most recent upgrade of their central reservations system to manage today’s crowded shopping environment.”
