Bruno des Fontaines Appointed VP Business Solutions - Asia Pacific @ Amadeus

Amadeus has appointed Bruno des Fontaines as Vice President, Business Solutions for Amadeus Asia Pacific.

A long-standing Amadeus employee, Bruno will form part of the 350 strong team at the company’s regional headquarters in Bangkok.

In his role, Bruno will drive the overall strategy in delivering successful business solutions for travel agencies in the corporate and leisure sector, to Amadeus customers in Asia Pacific. He will also be actively involved at a senior executive and strategic level in the commercialisation of new Amadeus solutions. Bruno replaces Amadeus veteran, Peter Smith, who will retire after more than 15 years with Amadeus.

Bruno previously held the position of Regional Director, Hospitality Group for Amadeus Asia Pacific. Following this, he assumed the role of Managing Director for the Amadeus Hotel Property Management Solution Division, where he successfully increased hotel distribution partnerships across the region. Most recently, he was based at Amadeus’ Nice offices.

“Bruno brings a wealth of experience to his new role at Amadeus. His vast knowledge of the business, acquired from his years in the company, will be instrumental in paving the way for further expansion and growth in this region. With Bruno on board, Amadeus will also be well poised to continue leading the growth of innovation and technology in the travel industry,” said David Brett, President of Amadeus Asia.

Bruno has worked in the travel and tourism industry for over 25 years across Asia, western and central Europe.
