Ukraine-based Maklai Ltd. says it has realized immediate booking increases for booked.net thanks to an agreement with Pegasus Solutions for the company’s UltraDirect interface.

One of the fastest growing extended-European online hotel booking sites, Booked.net can now leverage access to the single largest collection of electronically bookable hotels, maintained by Pegasus.

With Pegasus, Booked.net now has direct connectivity to the central reservation systems (CRSs) of most worldwide hotel chains as well as packages for more than 17,000 destinations worldwide.

Within weeks of implementing, Booked.net realized booking increases, according to Andrei Grudiy, managing director of Maklai.

“UltraDirect from Pegasus Solutions provided us direct connections to hotel CRSs around the world, providing real-time access to updated rates and inventory for tens of thousands of hotels worldwide through the Pegasus switch,” said Andrei Grudiy. “The technology enables fast, immediate confirmation of booking and cancellation requests, as well as secure access to negotiated rates.”

Maklai’s agreement with Pegasus also improves the quality and precision of information provided at Booked.net, while also allowing updates and bookings to be made more quickly in real-time. Additionally, the site is faster and offers more hotels. Another benefit is the additional security afforded for credit card transactions, a key benefit to Booked.net’s international consumer booking audience.

“Maklai has already realized rapid expansion and success in Europe, and we’re thrilled they’ve tapped us to further the success and appeal of Booked.net,” said Kristina Feinstein, director of sales for Pegasus Solutions. “In addition to UltraDirect connectivity, we worked to enhance the booking process at Booked.net to take note of seasonal changes and best dates to book. The positive results of our joint efforts were seen immediately in bookings made at the site.”
