AirAsia X to Launch Osaka Flights

AirAsia X is to launch flights to Kansai International Airport, in Osaka, Japan, from 30 November 2011.

The airline will operate four non-stop weekly services between Kuala Lumpur and Osaka with Airbus A330-300 aircraft configured with 12 premium fly flatbeds and 365 economy seats.

To mark the opening for sale of the new route, AirAsia X is offering a promotional all in fare from as low as RM249 one way in economy and an all in one way fares from as low as RM1569 in Premium class. The promotion valid between Kuala Lumpur and Osaka can be booked between 11 and 14 August 2011 for travel between 30 November 2011 and 20 June 2012.

AirAsia Malaysia co-brand card, AirAsia-Citibank credit card members can enjoy promotional all in fares from as low as RM199 one way in economy between Kuala Lumpur and Osaka. Bookings for AirAsia-Citibank credit card members are available online for just one day on 11 August 2011 for travel between 30 November 2011 and 20 June 2012.

 Fly Thru services and promotional fares are available from Thailand (Bangkok and Phuket), Indonesia (Jakarta, Medan, Bali, Surabaya), Singapore, Australia (Perth), New Zealand (Christchurch) and Europe (Paris) to Osaka.

In less than one year since the commencement of the airline’s inaugural flight to Tokyo in December 2010, we are pleased to be adding one of Japan’s commercial and economic hub into our growing international network. The four times weekly flight is expected to help meet demand from business and leisure travelers between, South East Asia and Japan.”
