The Taj Palace Hotel Dubai has appointed Mr. Mohamed Hussein as director of sales and marketing and Ms. Marwa Mustafa as director of sales.

Mohamed Hussein has spent his entire career in the UAE starting at the Ritz Carlton in Dubai as a reservations agent. He then moved to the InterContinental Hotel Group, Middle East & Africa central reservations office as a sales reservation agent before joining the InterContinental Resort Al Ain as sales manager.

Husseins last role was with Holiday Inn Al Barsha where he was responsible for the implementation of the organisations marketing policies and procedures as well as the management of a 15-strong sales, marketing and reservations team.

In his new role Hussein has been tasked with directing and coordinating the activities of the sales, catering, meeting services, reservations and communications team to maximise revenues and market share. He will also be spearheading the hotels marketing strategy and organising road shows and trade events.

 Marwa Mustafa began her career as a group coordinator at the Cairo Nile Hilton in Egypt. She then moved to Dubai in 2004 joining Capacity World as assistant production manager. Her next move was back into hotels joining the Radisson SAS Dubai Creek as a reservation supervisor.

Mustafas first sales role was with Sofitel City Centre where she was responsible for developing the corporate group segment. She was most recently with Copthorne Hotel Dubai having been promoted from sales manager to director of sales.

Reporting to the director of sales and marketing, Mustafa will be responsible for handling key accounts in each of the hotels major contributing market segments and developing relationships in these segments to increase market share. She will also be instrumental in establishing a client base of organisations, associations, social, and corporate businesses to meet sales targets through direct outside and inside sales efforts.
