An Organic and Vegetarian Afternoon Tea @ The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong

The creative chefs in charge of afternoon tea at the MO Bar at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong are working with British designer Stella McCartney to offer an organic and vegetarian afternoon tea throughout the month of March.

As Stella McCartney is a lifelong vegetarian, MO Bar’s chefs stayed true to her beliefs by creating a vegetarian menu using organic ingredients while at the same time taking inspiration from her British roots and her Spring/Summer 2011 collections.

“Eco-friendly fashion is on every fashionista’s wish list nowadays and British designer Stella McCartney is leading the pack with her vegan-friendly and feminine designs. We are delighted to be working with this brand,” said Sidney Schutte, Executive Sous Chef at The Landmark Mandarin Oriental.

In line with the strong belief that people can go green in every aspect of life, Stella McCartney’s collections eschew leather and fur whilst retaining her signature style of sharp tailoring, natural confidence and sexy femininity.

Taking their inspiration from some of Stella’s personal favourite vegetarian treats, and the botanical citrus print in her recent collection, the chefs have created a series of special Stella McCartney cupcakes, and guests will be able to choose their favourites from the sweet temptation buffet.

The HK$ 200+ Stella McCartney tea set will include bites such as Beetroot, Goat Cheese and Hazelnut Gratinated Toast, Quiche with Eggplant and Stilton, Whole Wheat and Corinthian Raisin Scones with Clotted Cream served with Home Made Organic Jams and Golden Bramley and Cinnamon Crumble, many of which are Stella McCartney’s personal favourites.

The tea set will also include a Stella McCartney inspired cupcake buffet and a choice of JING tea or coffee. All guests will receive a special gift set from Stella McCartney with the tea set (while stocks last).

Afternoon tea is served from 3 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. from Mondays to Saturdays and 3.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. on Sundays. Reservations are recommended.
