Interstate China Hotels & Resorts Appoints New SVP Development

Interstate China Hotels & Resorts Company Limited, a joint venture between one of the United States' largest independent hotel management companies - Interstate Hotels & Resorts, Inc., and one of China's leading hotel operator and developers Shanghai Jin Jiang International Hotels Company Limited, has appointed Mr. Max Ng as its new Senior Vice President of Development.

Mr. Ng will be responsible for developing new business for the company in Greater China. In addition, he will be working closely with the rest of Interstate China senior management team to further develop and oversee the independent hotel management model in the market.

Mr. Ng has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to joining Interstate China, Mr. Ng held various positions in international and domestic hotel groups in Toronto, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. He oversaw business development projects, increased company growth, and managed employee performance for Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, Swiss Belhotel International Management, Mvenpick Hotels and Resorts, KWG Property Holding Limited, Gloria International Hotels Management, and Queen Plaza Hotel, to list a few.

Mr. Ng is a member of the Hong Kong Project Management Association and received his diploma in Hotel Management, Food & Beverage Management, and Culinary Management from George Brown College in Toronto, Canada.
