IDeaS Revenue Solutions, a provider of pricing and revenue management software, services and consulting, has partnered WiTak Technology to deliver pricing solutions to the Taiwan-based hotel industry.

WiTak provides a range of light power system and services to hoteliers across Taiwan. The addition of IDeaS’solutions to WiTak’s suite of services is expected to further enhance their position as a respected and reliable technology provider for Taiwanese hotels.

Through the new partnership, hoteliers in Taiwan will now have access to IDeaS’ full range of revenue management and pricing solutions. Access to IDeaS’ solutions will allow hotels to analyse their demand, help make strategic decisions, track competitor performance and determine the correct pricing for available capacity.

“By improving the analysis of their business data, IDeaS and WiTak are enabling hoteliers to streamline their decision processes, ultimately helping them offer the right product at the right time to the right guests for the right price and lead to steadily increasing revenue,” said Wilson Ma, General Manger, WiTak. “The hotel sector in Taiwan is undergoing a strong period of growth. Now is the time for local hoteliers to get up to date with the latest technology and strategies to ensure they maximise profits.”

The hotel sector in Taiwan is set to benefit from strong growth in domestic and international tourists. A recent report from the Taiwan Tourism Authority showed that in 2010, arrivals from abroad topped 5.56 million for the year, 26% higher than a year earlier; and an estimated 120 million visits were made by local residents, about 22% higher than in 2009.

“Taiwan has a growing hotel industry which is fuelled by both international and domestic travellers. With growing competition in the market, it is essential for savvy local hoteliers to put emphasis on effective revenue management in order to maximise their profitability,” said Allan Taylor, Managing Director, IDeaS Greater China. “Having made a substantial investment in finding the right partner for the hotel sector in Taiwan, IDeaS is very happy to be working with WiTak, who has a strong track record and solid reputation amongst local hoteliers. IDeaS is committed to working closely with WiTak to support hotel organisations throughout Taiwan and help them achieve optimal pricing performance.”
