Kowloon Shangri-La Hong Kong Celebrates Renovation with Promotion

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Videos Wednesday, 8 September 2010

The Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong, has completed its enhancement programme of 409 Deluxe Rooms and Executive Suites, at a total investment of HK$130 million (US$16.7 million).

Designed by Andy Tait, a partner of LRF Designers Limited, each of the newly revitalised Deluxe Rooms and Executive Suites comprise an elegant and contemporary decor. Different from the previous colour schemes that were beiges and creams, the new tans and browns palette is warmer, creating a more inviting atmosphere for guests.

Adorned with rich dark red mahogany wall panels, each brand new room and suite is equipped with a new and oversized working table, an extra large Shangri-La created mattress and bedding, a 40-inch wall-mounted high definition LCD television, broadband and Wi-Fi internet access, and audio-visual jack panels at the desk and next to the bedside table.

Further enhancements include a separate shower cubicle in the remodelled bathrooms. In the Executive Suites, guests will find an ergonomically modern executive chair on wheels, an iPod and a DVD player with surround sound.

To celebrate the launch of the newly rejuvenated guestrooms, the hotel has created a number of special promotions. Until 29 December 2010, guests can enjoy a special rate of HK$2,000 per night for Deluxe Rooms and HK$4,380 per night for Executive Suites. The rates include:

• Complimentary departure private limousine from hotel to airport
• Bottle of house red wine and a box of deluxe chocolates delivered upon arrival
• Late check-out until 4 p.m.
• Free broadband Internet access
• Complimentary local calls and daily newspaper
• Welcome Chinese tea and fruit plate

The package rates quoted are based on double occupancy. A triple-occupancy daily supplement of HK$300 in Deluxe Room is applicable. All room and suite rates and supplements are subject to 10% service charge. Blackout dates, and other terms and conditions apply.
