The
award-winning Vancouver Convention Centre is a green-designed,
state-of-the-art facility on the waterfront in
downtown Vancouver. Opened in 1987, the facility comprises of
two uniquely designed buildings: Vancouver Convention Centre East
and West. The venue covers 1.2 million square feet (111,500
square metres), or four city blocks, with the West building
built 60% on land and 40% over water. The facility’s strong
commitment to environmental sustainability and green technology
can be found in every corner of the venue; from its “living
roof,” seawater heating and cooling, on-site water treatment and
even fish habitat built into the foundation. The city's scenic
location makes it a tourist destination, perfectly
balanced by a vibrant, urban downtown inhabited by world-class restaurants, hotels and
shopping.
The
initiatives at Suntec International will be spearheaded by Ms Chu Pui Wia, Director of Sales
