Tiger Airways Singapore has appointed TripleStar Travel and Tours as its General Sales Agent for the Philippines.

TripleStar, a prominent inbound travel agency in the Philippines with more than fifteen years of experience in the local travel industry, has one of the widest distribution networks throughout the country. It intends to open the first dedicated Tiger Airways retail ticketing office in SM City Clark Mall in the third quarter of this year. TripleStar also has retail outlets in Manila, Makati and Cebu.

Rosalynn Tay, Managing Director of Tiger Airways Singapore, said, “The Philippines is an important market for Tiger Airways. Our flights have received strong support and there is strong potential for further growth. With Tiger being represented by the country’s leading agent, our customers in the Philippines will gain greater access to our low, low fares. At the same time, this will help us reduce our distribution costs, and allow us to pass on cost savings and keep offering the lowest possible fares.”

Tiger Airways currently operates a daily flight between Singapore and Clark.

“We are pleased to partner with Tiger Airways. With our extensive network reaching both wholesale and retail customers in the Philippines, we are well positioned to bring Tiger’s low fares to more travellers. We also look forward to establishing dedicated retail outlets for Tiger Airways, “said Delza Gochoco, President and General Manager of TripleStar.

TripleStar was created and spun off two years ago out of South East Asian Airlines (SEAIR) tour desk services.
