With the theme of ‘Raising the Bar’, the organizers of this year’s event are bringing in 40% more world-class presenters and providing more workshop and sessions than last year. These sessions will be led by Paul Brown, CEO and creator of the Face2Face Retention System, and Tracy Minnoch-Nuku, SEA Director of Les Mills Asia Pacific, from Australia,” said Dr. Suzanne Hosley, Managing Director of Fitness Innovations (Thailand) Ltd., on behalf of the event organizers.

Running in conjunction with the AFC 2010 will be a Fitness Exhibition, which will offer fitness and health-related products and services at considerable discount to not only the delegates of the convention, but also to members of the health-conscious general public.

Confirmed exhibitors so far include Adidas, Alkem Pte Ltd., American Council on Exercise (ACE), Central Trading Co. Ltd., COB Group Co., Ltd., Johnson Health Tech (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Les Mills Asia Pacific, Nshactive, Oasis Hong Kong, Sportathlon (Thailand) Ltd., STOTT Pilates, Sun Sport Marketing Co., Ltd and Wellnex to name but a few.

Open from 10:00 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. daily, the exhibition will command part of the main hall on the 22nd floor of the Centara Grand’s Bangkok Convention Centre. Various free exercise demonstrations will take place 3 times a day from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. and from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.

The AFC 2010 will also have pre and post convention sessions in Kettlebell certification, yoga teacher training, group exercise choreography development, personal training, business management, triathlon training and a number of other topics. A post-convention Beach Party is also being planned to take place at the Pullman Pattaya Aisawan during 20 - 22 September.

Last year, the Convention was attended by over 500 fitness, health and sports professionals and enthusiasts from countries around the Asia region as well as from Australia, USA, Qatar, UAE and Bahrain, and generated an approximate revenue of Baht 100 million for Thailand.
