Since its inception in January 2008, Bangkok-based Ativa Hospitality has enjoyed considerable growth in the independent boutique hotel field in which they specialize. The most recent additions to their stable of luxury properties comes with the signing of two new Thailand properties; Hansar Bangkok and Hansar Samui, both of which are slated to open in the second half of this year. Bill Black (Co-Founder/Managing Director) - Bill is a highly respected 40-year hospitality veteran, with an impeccable reputation as a passionate, committed hotelier who is sensitive to environmental and cultural issues. He spent 25 years with Regent/Four Seasons Hotels in Asia before joining the independent Fullerton Hotel in Singapore as General Manager. As a founding partner of Bed Management Company in 2004, Bill worked closely with property owners and played an indispensable role in developing the world class deluxe hotel properties of Hotel de la Paix, Trisara and Indigo Pearl.

Nick Downing (Director of Operations) – Building on a foundation of ten years experience with Hyatt hotels in Australia, Nick has a distinguished career in Hotel management in Asia Pacific and has worked for a number of award-winning resorts throughout the region. These include Hayman Island, pre-opening the world’s first Palazzo Versace in Australia, Soneva Gili by Six Senses in the Maldives; pre-opening Per Aquum’s flagship property, Huvafen Fushi as General Manager where he also fulfilled a dual responsibility as GM/concept developer for their resort plans in the Seychelles, involving three different islands. Prior to joining Ativa Hospitality’s corporate office, Nick was General Manager of Hotel de la Paix, Siem Reap. He brings a wealth of talent, creativity and experience to his role as Director of Operations and has a meticulous eye for detail.

Bobbie-Jane Skewes (Director of Sales & Marketing) - Bobbie-Jane’s extensive experience encompasses Asia Pacific and the Middle East. Originally from Australia, she worked at Ayers Rock Resort Company and Hamilton Island Enterprises before joining Four Seasons and then Ritz-Carlton in the Sydney and Double Bay properties. This was followed by 9 years in the Middle East with Ritz-Carlton in Egypt and Dubai before moving to Amman, Jordan where she provided International Business Development and Marketing leadership for services companies entering Iraq. After pre-opening Banyan Tree’s Ras Al Khaimah property in the UAE as Director of Sales & Marketing, she moved to Cambodia as Corporate Director of Sales & Marketing for Sofitel Luxury Hotels.
