Bangkok Airways Signs Codeshare with EVA Air

Bangkok Airways (PG) and EVA Air (BR) have jointly signed a codeshare agreement for services from Amsterdam, Vienna, London (Heathrow) and Taipei to Thailand’s key destinations, Koh Samui, Phuket and Chiang Mai. The agreement comes into effect in March 2010. EVA will operate the international flights and Bangkok Air will handle the domestic service.

As soon as the codeshare routes are activated, EVA Air passengers traveling to/from Amsterdam, Vienna, London and Taipei will enjoy smooth transit through Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport and onward to Koh Samui, Phuket and Chiang Mai within the minimum connecting time of one hour. Bangkok Airways’ Boutique Lounge is available to passengers traveling in economy class and the Blue Ribbon Club is designed for those in business class.

EVA Air connecting flights are as follows:

From Taipei - BR211 leaving at 08.20, arriving in Bangkok at 11.05 and return flight BR212 departing Bangkok at 12.35, arriving in Taipei at 17.00.

From London - BR68 leaving Heathrow at 21:20, arriving in Bangkok at 15:45 (+1 day) and return flight BR67 departing Bangkok at 13:10, arriving in Heathrow at 19:10.

From Amsterdam – on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, BR76 leaves Amsterdam at 12:30, arriving in Bangkok at 05:20 in the next morning and on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, BR75 leaves Bangkok at 03:25 on and arriving in Amsterdam at 09:50.

From Vienna – on Monday, Thursday and Saturday, BR62 leaves Vienna at 13:30, arriving in Bangkok at 05:35 in the next morning, and on Monday, Thursday and Saturday BR61 leaves Bangkok at 02:50 and arriving in Vienna at 08:40.
