Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Videos Thursday, 3 June 2010

Experience the magic of Shanghai, San Francisco’s sister city, with Mandarin Oriental, San Francisco’s ‘Summer In Shanghai’ package in conjunction with the Asian Art Museum of San Francisco and its highly celebrated Shanghai exhibition.

The one-night package includes deluxe room accommodations with city or bay views, two admission tickets to the Asian Art Museum and the Shanghai exhibit, and two complimentary MO Bar signature cocktails to welcome and refresh ‘Summer In Shanghai’ guests.

Rates for this package based on a one-night stay are from US$ 340, exclusive of taxes. Additional nights may be booked at prevailing rates. The package is available until 5 September 2010, when the exhibition closes.

The Asian Art Museum's Shanghai exhibition is the cornerstone of the Shanghai Celebration - a year-long Bay Area-wide collaboration honoring San Francisco's sister city and coinciding with the 2010 World Expo now being hosted by Shanghai.

The Shanghai exhibition explores, through the mirror of its art, the tumultuous history that resulted in one of the world's most dynamic, cosmopolitan cities. It features more than 130 oil paintings, Shanghai Deco furniture and rugs, revolutionary posters, works of fashion, movie clips, and contemporary installations.
