The House of Dancing Water to Open in Macau September 2010

One of the world’s largest water-based shows ‘The House of Dancing Water’ will have its Grand Opening at the City of Dreams in Macau on 16 September 2010, with its first ticketed shows hosted the next day on 17 September 2010.

Created and directed by Mr. Franco Dragone, this US$ 250 million water-based show is aiming to be the most thrilling water-based extravaganza ever staged.

Tickets for this approximately 70-minute show will first go on sale to the public in mid-June. All tickets set to be sold within the opening period will be specially priced at HK$ 380, HK$6 80, HK$ 880 and HK$ 1,280 respectively.

I simply cannot wait to share with all visitors from Asia and indeed the world ‘The House of Dancing Water’, which I have no doubt is destined to be the most extravagant and thrilling live production ever seen in the world.”

 Mr. Franco Dragone, Founder and Artistic Director of Franco Dragone Entertainment Group, said, “‘The House of Dancing Water’ is our first production in Asia, and I am personally creating and directing this world-beating water-based show which draws creative inspiration from Chinese culture, particularly on the ‘seven emotions’ principle derived from the classical Confucian beliefs. I am confident that it will be the most spectacular, imaginative theatrical extravaganza ever produced in the world.”

‘The House of Dancing Water’ will take audiences on an awe-inspiring journey performed by a strong cast of approximately 77 international performance artists and approximately 130 top production and technical members from more than 18 countries around the world.

It will be staged at the ‘Dancing Water Theater’ a purpose built theater that contains one of the most impressive commercial pools in the world. Holding approximately 3.7 million gallons which is more than five Olympic-sized swimming pools it will be one of the largest water-based theaters in the world.
