U to Open Hotel in Kanchanaburi in November 2010

U Hotels & Resorts is to open the U Inchantree Kanchanaburi Resort on 1 November 2010. The resort will be the second U resort after the U Chiang Mai which opened in June 2008.

U Inchantree Kanchanaburi is a boutique resort designed in a rustic river lodge style surrounded by landscaped gardens and located on the north bank of the river only 5 minutes walk from the famous River Kwai Bridge.

The resort features 24 superior rooms and two suites in the two-storey building that are set around a courtyard dominated by an ancient “Inchantree” from which the resort derives its name.

Peppers, the resort’s restaurant located adjacent to the swimming pool, allows guests to experience al fresco dining. The restaurant also serves breakfast whenever / wherever and a Thai and Western lunch and dinner menu.

From the Sunset Terrace Lounge suspended over the edge of the river, guests can watch kingfishers darting over the water and trains rumbling over the River Kwai Bridge.

Other facilities at the resort include a gym, library and a free bike to explore the local surrounds.

The U Inchantree Kanchanaburi offers U’s concept of service including a 24 hour room which allows guests to enjoy their room for 24 hours from arrival, as well as breakfast whenever / wherever during their stay, in room iPod and iDocking station, international and local calls at cost, pre-select amenities such as pillow, tea, music and soap that guests can select from the online U Choose programme and more.
