China Airlines Recruiting Aircraft Maintenance Technicians

China Airlines is recruiting aircraft repair and maintenance technicians as part of a recruitment drive that has added nearly 400 new personnel to the staff this year.

Applicants seeking to join CAL's maintenance and repair crew should register on the airline's website before 2 August 2010.

China Airlines plans to recruit 15 line maintenance technicians, 16 component repair technicians and 5 CNC technicians for lathe/grinder repairing (CNC lathe/grinder certification is required). After initial documentation checks, qualified candidates will be notified via email to attend an examination covering basic knowledge related to aircraft repair and maintenance.

Requirements for initial documentation checks include:

- Undergraduate or higher degree in science or engineering-related field of study
- TOEIC scores of 450 or above, or an equivalent credential
- Priority given to candidates with at least three years of experience working for civilian airlines or members of aboriginal tribes

In the first half of 2010, China Airlines has successfully recruited 389 new employees, including 30 pilots, 92 flight attendants, 196 cargo and airport ground service agents, 59 maintenance engineers and 12 information engineers.

 CAL will continue to recruit pilots, customer service center representatives and Japanese flight attendants in the second half of this year.
