John Beresford Joins Marco Polo Wuhan as GM

Mr John Beresford has been appointed General Manager of the Marco Polo Wuhan, China.

Mr Beresford is an experienced hotel operator, and joins Marco Polo from InterContinental Hotels Group with whom he has had a long association over the past 12 years.

Mr Beresford’s prior responsibility included overseeing properties in several different cities in China including Dandong, Shenyang and Wuhan. He was most recently General Manager of the Crowne Plaza West Hanoi.

“I am pleased that John has accepted this important assignment to manage our China flagship hotel and I am confident that he’ll excel in developing the hotel’s potential business and reputation for service excellence,” said Mr Steve Kleinschmidt, President of Marco Polo Hotels.

Marco Polo Wuhan is ideally situated at the urban riverfront and is in close proximity to the business district area. The hotel is only 30 minutes drive to Wuhan airport.

With 380 luxurious and well-appointed rooms and suites, most of them offering panoramic views of the Yangtze River, this five-star business hotel is Marco Polo’s 4th hotel in China.

In addition to the modern business amenities and Continental Club floor facilities, the hotel provide a choice of dining options from International Asian to Chinese cuisine, plus extensive meeting and conference venues that can accommodate up to 800 persons

 A recreation complex includes an indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi, fitness center and massage facilities.
