Qatar Airways launches Promotion to Celebrate 10th Anniversary of its FFP

Qatar Airways has launched a promotion to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its frequent flyer programme, Privilege Club.

Members can earn 10,000 bonus Qmiles in addition to the normal Qmiles, when flying 10 sectors within 10 weeks from 1 May until 10 July 2010.

 Between 1 - 31 May 2010, Privilege Club members can also earn double Qpoints on Qatar Airways’ flights enabling them to achieve a higher status much quicker within the programme.

As part of the celebrations honouring members’ loyalty, Privilege Club card holders can enjoy the benefits of upgrading to Business Class for just half – 50% less – Qmiles than normal by booking selected Economy Class tickets during the month of May.

Those members looking to fly on 2 May 2010 – Privilege Club’s 10th birthday – can redeem Economy Class award tickets for just 10% of the normal Qmiles required.

“We have had many loyal members who have been with the programme since its inception, and we are delighted to be able to offer our members additional rewards and special offers to celebrate 10 successful years,” said Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer, Akbar Al Baker. “Qatar Airways would like to take this opportunity to thank its members for the continued support and sincerely look forward to many more years of patronage from our most loyal customers.”

Qatar Airways, which has developed its global business significantly over the past 10 years, currently operates to 88 destinations with a modern fleet of 82 aircraft around the world with another four new routes scheduled for launch by the end of June.
