InterContinental Hua Hin Resort - General Manager Interview

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Videos Wednesday, 24 March 2010

[HD video below] We were unsure what to expect from the InterContinental Hua Hin Resort. For some reason we expected large room numbers, perhaps an high rise, with in-room amenities and technology that just met requirements, rather than surprise and surpass expectations. How very wrong we were.

There is nothing standard about this very impressive resort. Everything, from the bedding to the swimming pool, to the quality of plugs and in-room technology is of the highest quality, and unlike some hotels that promise you one thing, and yet deliver a totally different experience, the InterContinental Hua Hin is one hotel where your needs will not only be met, but surpassed.

Take the internet as an example, many so-called 5-star hotels still charge, and even if you pay, the speed is poor and service unreliable. Not at the InterContinental Hua Hin, this hotel understands that you may want to stay connected and do so at speed, and that is what they deliver - for free. The WiFi here is better than most city hotels in leading cities like Bangkok, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Bathroom amenities - including the shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion - in all the rooms are from L'Occitane, which from our experience is normally a reflection on the kind of attention to detail, and search for perfection, that can only come from an hotel of the highest quality.

But enough from us, who better to tell you about this new luxury resort than the General Manager herself. Khun Pattama Yoshimura is not only at the helm of this outstanding resort, but also one of the very first Thai female General Managers of an International hotel of this quality in Thailand. Listen to what Khun Pattama has to say about the hotel and what you, as a guest, can expect.
