Aston International has grand opened the Aston Samarinda Hotel & Convention Center. Located in the heart of Samarindas central business district, the Aston Samarinda Hotel & Convention Center is an international 4 star business hotel serving the regions growing business travel and conference market as well as domestic leisure travelers.

The hotel features 99 guest rooms and suites, several conference rooms, the largest pillar less ball room in the city with a capacity of up to 1500 guests and Kalimantans only indoor swimming pool.

Norbert Vas, VP Sales & Marketing Aston International said, "During a 4 week soft opening period prior to the grand opening we leveled our average daily occupancy at 90% which is the fastest and best hotel trading volume development we have ever seen. This shows that the hotel has hit a mark with travelers and that Kalimantan is a growing and increasingly important region experiencing increased demand for international standard hotels."

Aston first entered Kalimantan one year ago and since then opened an ocean front 4 star hotel and serviced residence in Balikpapan and two 3 star Aston City Hotels in Ketapang and Tanjung. With the Aston Samarinda Hotel & Convention Center, Aston is now the largest international hotel group in Kalimantan and has further plans for expansion with a large scale 4 star hotel and convention center project in Pontianak as well as the introduction of Astons 3 star Quest and 2 star favehotel brands later next year.
