Fly Qantas to the World Cup with the Socceroos

 Socceroos fans can now book seats on a dedicated delivery flight carrying the Australian team to the FIFA World Cup. Qantas will fly the Socceroos on its specially painted Boeing 747 on QF163 from Melbourne to Johannesburg on 26 May 2010.

"Qantas is proud to carry the Qantas Socceroos to South Africa and pleased to be able to offer Qantas customers the opportunity to fly to South Africa onboard the same flight," said Qantas Chief Executive Officer, Mr Alan Joyce. "Qantas Frequent Flyers were given an opportunity to purchase tickets last week, and we are now pleased to promote the flight to the general public ... As a special celebration of the event, all passengers will also enjoy an exclusive supporter pack which will include a limited edition Qantas Socceroos Nike jersey."

 Fares start at $1,399 including fees and charges.

Qantas operates six flights per week between Sydney and Johannesburg and daily codeshare flights between Perth and Johannesburg.
