The Oberoi, Mumbai, located on Marine Drive in South Mumbai, is to re-open this coming Saturday (24 April 2010) after extensive renovations.

The 14-level atrium lobby, in pristine white Thassos marble, provides a fitting introduction to the hotel’s interiors. The 287 spacious guestrooms and suites provide guests with the latest technology.

Dining options include three restaurants, a lounge and a bar. Ziya is the new Indian speciality restaurant under the direction of the Michelin-starred Chef Vineet Bhatia. Fenix, the new all-day dining restaurant, serves world cuisine with distinctive creativity. Vetro, the contemporary Italian restaurant, will feature fine Italian cuisine. Vetro’s Enoteca, a glass-encased wine library featuring over 1200 bottles will allow guests to choose the perfect bottle of wine to accompany their meals.

The new Eau Bar has been designed in warm, sensuous colours and will offer innovative cocktails in creative, hand-blown glassware. The Champagne lounge located in the main lobby has also been completely refurbished.

The meetings and conference facilities include the Jaipur Room and the Udaipur Room on the 21st floor. Both have ocean views and can host up to 40 guests each for meetings, private dinners and cocktails. The well-appointed Business Centre has nine meeting rooms.

Recreational facilities at the hotel include an outdoor heated swimming pool, and The Oberoi Spa. A state-of-the-art fitness centre will also be available to guests.
