Verita Advanced Wellness, a Singapore based provider of complementary and alternative healthcare, has opened a new flagship facility in Phoenix Park, minutes from Orchard Road.

The new 23,000 sq. ft. facility offers one of the most comprehensive ranges of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM) in Singapore, and is one of the largest integrated wellness centres in the Asia Pacific region.

By combining proven traditional and cutting edge treatments and therapies from all over the world, Verita’s vision is to become a centre of excellence for all-natural, non-invasive, drug-free preventative healthcare, attracting clients to Singapore from the region and beyond.

It houses Salt Caves, providing Halotherapy for the treatment of bronchial and skin conditions. The centre also includes the one of Singapore’s first Aromatherapy Bars and is leading the way in Advanced Blood Chemistry.

Charles Au, Head of Research and Development, Verita Advanced Wellness, said, “Verita’s vision is to become a Singapore-grown world leader in the research, training and practice of preventative healthcare. In addition to offering innovative health assessment techniques and treatments, further education and training will also be offered on specific industry developments through regular seminars and training sessions from industry leaders, with a dedicated library for on site research. Through continued research and development we hope to help bring CAM to the mainstream and support the local medical community by offering complementary supportive services.”

Assessments available at the centre include zero radiation 3-D body and brain function scans, Advanced Blood Chemistry analysis and hormone, heavy mental and free radical tests. A large variety of treatments is also available ranging from lymphatic drainage massage and full spectrum infra-red saunas for detoxification, to electromagnetic pulse and cold laser therapy for rapid pain relief. For those interested in movement therapy it also boasts two yoga studios and gyrotonics and pilates spaces.

Introducing Verita Advanced Wellness, General Manager Mr. Greg Payne, said, “Verita’s primary objective is to help clients discover and address the root causes of their health issues and provide advice on maintaining optimum health. By bringing together an impressive mix of international advisory experts and experienced practitioners, we constantly strive to offer clients the benefit of the most up to date industry knowledge. By providing the tools we encourage clients to take charge of their health and wellbeing with evidence based advice and support each step of the way.”

World renowned speaker, author and advisory consultant expert, Dr Kimberley Balas PhD was also at the launch of Verita Advanced Wellness. Dr Balas was in town on a trip to train a team of specialists and is one of several renowned advisors who oversee training and development.

A board certified naturopathic physician with a PhD in Nutrition from Stanford University, Dr Balas oversees Verita’s Advanced Blood Chemistry and Quantitative Fluid Analysis assessments. Having devised special algorithms for the analysis which go beyond the normal range examined by medical doctors, Dr Balas and her team can provide insights into the underlying causes of internal imbalances and recommend treatments to help the body rebalance and optimise its innate ability to treat itself.

She said, “While most medical doctors only look at specific markers within the so-called normal range, Verita examines specific deviations within that range – enabling us to correct an imbalance before it becomes a problem. Following a full physiological and naturopathic analysis to assess the causes of the imbalance such as nutritional deficiencies, environmental toxins, emotional stress or physical trauma, we can then provide a highly personalised treatment programme to address the underlying cause.”

With an emphasis on preventative healthcare, Verita also offers a range of health supplements to clients who are seeking to augment their assessments and treatments and has an on site café offering living food, low carb and superfood options.
