Kingfisher Airlines Closing Check-In and Boarding Gates Earlier

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Videos Wednesday, 21 July 2010

With effect from midnight on 20 July, the check-in counters for all domestic flights of Kingfisher Airlines departing from the 6 cities of Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Hyderabad & Chennai will close 40 minutes before departure. This effectively means that the check-in counters will close 10 minutes earlier than they used to.

In addition to this change, the boarding gates for domestic flights departing from all the above 6 airports will close 15 minutes before the time of departure.

It is therefore imperative that all guests arrive at the airport well in time to check-in, proceed for security checks and arrive at their boarding gate in time.

The airline said the change has been necessitated to minimize operational disruptions / guest inconvenience while ensuring compliance with the directions and procedures specified in Air Transport Circular 10 of 2009 issued by the DGCA and which is being implemented by DGCA now.
