Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Videos Wednesday, 21 July 2010

The Auriga spa at the Capella Singapore, a luxury resort on Singapore’s Sentosa Island, is launching two new treatments, the Body Sculpting treatment and a Collagen Boost Anti Ageing Facial, from 1 September 2010.

The 60 minute Body Sculpting treatment (Sin$140) focuses on firming, toning and helping break down fat cells to reduce the appearance of cellulite using a combination of green coffee & chili oil to heat the body and target problem areas such as hips, thighs, waist and tummy. A cooling body sculpting gel is then massaged onto the skin to stimulate lymph and blood circulation helping to drain the system of toxins. The skin is left instantly smooth and toned.

The 75 minute Collagen Boost Anti Ageing facial (Sin$170) uses massage techniques, lymphatic drainage and acupressure massage to support the skin’s ability to heal itself. Super antioxidants and anti-ageing herbs are used to instantly lift, tighten and brighten the complexion. Scalp massage is included during this facial for a complete bliss.

Auriga spa was developed by award-winning Swedish-based Raison d’Etre and integrates the lunar phases into every aspect of the spa experience, from the ambiance to the treatments, ultimately aligning guests with the rhythms of nature for enhanced wellbeing.

Auriga uses 100% natural and organic products from The Organic Pharmacy and also offers treatments developed by A.W Lake that are exclusive to Auriga spa in Singapore and draw inspiration from Singapore’s Malay and Chinese Heritage. Additional treatments include massages, wraps, scrubs, facials and a host of beauty and grooming services.

Within Auriga spa’s luxurious 12,000 square foot area, guests can choose from nine treatment suites, including three suites with shower and bath. For additional tropical ambience, each treatment suite also has an accompanying outdoor garden, filled with natural light and tropical foliage.

Additional amenities promoting relaxation and wellness include Auriga’s Relaxation Lounge, a quiet reprieve featuring sound wave lounge chairs, and hot and cold teas designed to harmonise with the current phase of the moon. The Relaxation Lounge looks out to a tranquil garden. Auriga’s wet areas include ice fountains, herbal steam rooms, and vitality pools overlooking a lush, verdant tropical garden.
