Plan A Public Relations & Marketing, a full-service marketing firm specializing in the hospitality industry, has appointed former HOTELS magazine Associate Editor Adam Kirby as director of client communications.

Adam is well known across the hospitality industry from his three years on staff at HOTELS, where he wrote about hotel technology and marketing, among many other industry topics.

In his role with Plan A, Adam will assist and advise the firm’s hospitality clients on their promotional efforts and public communications.

A journalism graduate from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Adam worked as a newspaper reporter before joining HOTELS in 2006. In stints with Wisconsin-based publications including the Watertown Daily Times, the New Berlin Citizen and the Brookfield News, Adam won major statewide journalism awards from the Wisconsin Newspaper Association and the Wisconsin Education Association Council. Adam is based in Oak Park, Illinois.

“Having Adam on board with Plan A is a real coup for us and our clients,” said Plan A President Andrea Roland. “Adam is an outstanding writer and communicator who has a broad understanding of the hospitality industry. Just as importantly, he knows its major players and, in many cases, is on a first-name basis with them.”
