Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens Rugby Rock

Travel News Asia Latest Travel News Podcasts Videos Tuesday, 2 November 2010

If you are in Dubai between 2-4 December 2010, then be sure to check out 7he Sevens on the Al Ain Road.

Apart from the scintillating rugby action (see: Pools for 2010 Dubai Rugby Sevens) that will be taking place on the six pitches at the venue, there will be an array of activities to keep everyone entertained.

Keeping the party going at Rugby Rock on Friday, 3 December, after the rugby action has come to an end will be the Corporate Voice Experience (CVE), who are returning to 7he Sevens for a second consecutive year after receiving rave reviews in 2009.

CVE's repertoire features artists as diverse as Jonny Cash, Neil Diamond, The Rolling Stones, Talking Heads, The Killers, Snow Patrol, Muse and Kings of Leon - a little of something to keep everyone in party mode.

Also making a welcome return, for the Saturday night, 4 December, will be the local-based Million Dollar Band, headed by rock diva Salha Al-Busaidy.

"So many things make the Rugby Rock our biggest and favourite gig of the year. We put weeks of rehearsal into the Rugby Rock, often doing songs we don't do again all year," said Al-Busaidy. "We get to let our hair down with our repertoire and definitely with our performance. I get to be a diva and a rock star all in one show! Also, we enlist the talents of Danny Shirran, who is an amazing male vocalist, to give some variety and sing some of the male rock anthems."

Tickets are available online and by calling Ticketline on 800 4669 (international clients can call +971 4 4443459).
