Kowloon Shangri-La Hong Kong to Host Oakridge Wine Dinner on 30 July 2010

Angelini Italian restaurant at the Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong will stage an exclusive Oakridge wine dinner with 90+ award-winning wines for one night only on 30 July 2010.

Especially for the event, David Bicknell, the winery’s chief executive officer and a leading winemaker in Yarra Valley, Australia, will fly in to Hong Kong to share his knowledge of wines with the dinner guests.

To highlight this special occasion, Angelini Chef Vittorio Lucariello has prepared a five-course dinner menu to delight the discerning palate.

The 2009 Over the Shoulder Pinot Grigio and 2008 Over the Shoulder Chardonnay will be served before dinner. The feast will then begin with Sardinian Red Shrimp Tartar with Summer Mushrooms Sauce and Light Basil Pesto and Crispy Shrimp complemented with 2008 Oakridge Chardonnay, and Roasted Quail filled with Foie Gras Braised Green Onion on Corn Gnocchi and Red Wine Sauce, which will be matched with 2008 Oakridge Pinot Noir.

For the main course, guests will be able to enjoy Braised Lamb Shank with Juniper Berries, Broad Beans, Leeks and Peas accompanied with 2006 Oakridge Shiraz and Home made Mascarpone Cheese Raviolo with Muscovy Duck Stew, served with 2008 Oakridge Cabernet Sauvignon.

To provide guests with a sweet finish, home made Almond Milk Gelato with Poached Peach and Baba Crumble will be paired with 2009 Oakridge Limited Release Viognier.

The wine dinner is priced at HK$988 plus 10% service charge per person.
